ResponsibilitiesEvaluate individual responses to exercise and conditioning, and educate patients regarding secondary preventionPossess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the information appropriate and necessary to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and proceduresDeliver exercise therapy and education to facilitate behavior modification and changeLead exercises for persons with cardiovascular diseases, as well as, exercises for healthy populationsManage patient data to determine outcome of program effectivenessImplement exercise prescription for patients with cardiovascular diseaseProgresses patient exercise prescription by making appropriate adjustment to time, intensity, duration, and modalities with cardiovascular disease patients to improve functional capacityMonitor and record patient exercise responses of blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, tolerance and symptomsPerform patient education on lifestyle related risk factors using appropriate learning principlesManaging patient data, by tracking information and reporting to determine program outcomes QualificationsJob RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or similar field.Minimum of three (3) years' experienceBLSPreferred Job RequirementsACLS
