Job Summary

Provide diagnostic and surgical services to the patients of CAMC Health System and its affiliates per the terms of the contract. To provide ER Call for orthopedic surgery

Responsibilities

•To provide care to CAMC patients in the field of Orthopedic Surgery in compliance with the highest standards of medical art and science, and within the ethical standards of conduct as applies to such fiduciary relationships.Such care will be delivered in the appropriate setting and coordinated with the staff present at each site.The physician will take the lead in all patient care issues and will be ultimately responsible for the outcome of the encounter.•Physician will provide a minimum of forty, (40) patient contact hours per week.This may take place in the Orthopedic Surgery Clinic/Office or at CAMC Health System, and could be comprised of patient visits, consultations, and/or operating room time; or while providing "on-call" services at CAMCTV emergency room.•With regard to issues of clinical practice, Physician will report to the Medical Staff Administrator of CAMC ; in all other matters he will report to CAMC Health System President/Chief Executive Officer.•Ultimate responsibility for clinical activities resides with the Medical Staff Administrator of CAMC•Employee will maintain active status (category I) with regards to clinical privileges at CAMC•Must be able to relate appropriately with patients, staff, corporate management, medical staff and co-workers.Managed care knowledge helpful. Must be a team player.Must remain current in medical/surgical knowledge as well as applicable legal and regulatory issues.
