Overview of the Payroll Supervisor role:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and complete payroll processing operations to ensure accurate calculation of wages and processing of tax withholdings and company deductions.
  • Track and implement wage and hour laws and regulations.
  • Review payrolls to ensure proper payroll calculation and compliance with wage and hour laws and state/federal tax regulations.
  • Work with the Controller to generate and import payroll entries and month-end accruals into the general ledger.
  • Work with Human Resources to ensure the timely import of new employees, terminated employees, and wage changes into the payroll system.
  • Supervise or complete the timely disbursement of tax payments and garnishments and the preparation of quarterly tax filings.
  • Liaison with management and staff regarding all pay inquiries.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate maintenance of all timekeeping and payroll records.

Preferred qualifications of the Payroll Supervisor:

  • 3+ years of payroll experience
