JOB SUMMARYPerforms CT procedures and all tasks associated with the safe, effective and efficient delivery of those services. Scheduling exams, appropriate operation of the HIS system, records maintenance and patient transportation as necessary. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborn to elderly.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrates Competency in the Following Areas: Education/Regulatory Requirements:Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. (ARRT)Certified by the State of Mississippi to practice and administer radiation. (MRT)CT Certification preferredCurrent BCLS certification.Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.Skills:Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.Good communication skills; both listening and speaking.Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy.IV skills, start, monitor and discontinue IV's.
