Qualifications •Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System •Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties •Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload •Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job •Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology •Current BCLS Certification •Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understand of medical terminology •Ability to work variable shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call rotation Responsibilities •Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Certified Surgical Technician maintains responsibility for the care of the patient in the Operating Room •Duties include: assisting with direct patient care activities, preparing and stocking the Operating Room before and after surgery, gathering clean and sterile supplies, setting sterile instrument fields, maintaining and monitoring aseptic techniques, assisting with the orientation of new staff, and participating on departmental committees.* Full description Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Certified Surgical Technician maintains responsibility for the care of the patient in the Operating Room.
