Job Summary:Hill York seeks a Pipefitter who lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, welds, and maintains piping and piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, and industrial processing systems.Pipefitter Duties and Responsibilities: Layout, fit, assemble, and install various pipe systemsInspect work for correct installation and best practices for specificationsFollow detailed work and plans of installation for jobCuts pipe using saw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machineThreads pipe using threading machineBends pipe using pipe bending toolsAssembles and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including steel, copper, HDPE, and PVCConnects pipes using threaded, welding, grooved, soldered, brazes, fused, and hand toolsSecures pipes to structure with brackets, anchors, pipe stands, clamps, and hangersDetermine the appropriate welding equipment and methods based on project requirementsOperate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be weldedWeld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions such as vertical, horizontal, or overheadQualifications:Ability to read and understand blueprints, documents, and submittalsAbility to lift and carry objects of varying weightsWe offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled"Notice to prospective employees: There have been fraudulent postings and emails regarding job openings.
