GENERAL INFORMATION
Certificated Employees

ESY 24 Session: June 7th - July 1st
There will be no school on Wednesday, June 19, 2024
Prep Day will be held for ALL staff (other than Bus Attendants and Noon Supervisors)
on June 7th, 2024
(Certificated Staff Prep Day hours will align with the individual site staff hours
listed below)
Work Hours: All Certificated Staff (Teachers, School Psychologists, Nurse, APE, LSH) work 6.0 hours per day
Pay rate: ESY Certificated Salary Schedule
Castle Park Hours:
Teachers/: 7:00 - 1:00 Aides: 7:00 - 12:45 Students: 7:30 - 12:55 (TK-2nd)
Certificated Staff -or- 7:30-11:30 (Preschool)
7:15 - 1:00
Hilltop Hours:
Teachers/: 8:15 - 2:15 Aides: 8:15 - 2:00 Students: 8:45 - 2:10 (3rd- 6th)
Certificated Staff -or-
8:30 - 2:15
(Start/End time for Aide positions will be staggered as needed to accommodate for morning bus pick up and afternoon bus loading)

Applications are to be submitted on the form: Certificated Summer ESY Employment Application, received by Ricky Lizarraga in the Human Resources Department no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024. Additional postings may be obtained at the school office or in the Human Resources Department at the ESSC.

Selection of teachers for the ESY Program will be done through a lottery for all interested Certificated Employees (tenure and probationary). Specialized Certificated Employees (i.e. VI, Nurse, etc.) will fill those positions as needed. Temporary teachers and those on the Employable List will comprise a secondary employment pool to fill vacancies following completion of the lottery.
Certificated Lottery will be held Monday, May 6, 2024, via Teams @ 4:00 pm.

NOTE: Teachers will only be eligible to fill vacancies they have applied for. Please be sure to list every position you are eligible for and interested in filling.
