Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Hand Therapist at San Juan Hand Therapy located in Durango, CO. As a Hand Therapist, you will be responsible for providing specialized rehabilitation services to patients with upper extremity conditions or injuries. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to design and implement customized treatment plans. Your day-to-day tasks will include evaluating patients, developing therapeutic interventions, and monitoring progress. Your goal will be to help patients regain functional use of their hands and improve their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy
- Current Colorado state license
- Certified Hand Therapist, or eligible for CHT
- Experience in hand therapy or a related field
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology of the upper extremity
- Strong understanding of orthopedic and neurological conditions affecting the hand
- Ability to perform specialized hand therapy techniques, including splinting and manual therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Compassion and empathy for patients
