Paramedic Roles and Responsibilities: Understands the customer's needs and provide correct information and the ability to resolve problems requiring logical thinking and follow through. Functions calmly and logically under tense and difficult situations. Works with frequent interruptions and responds appropriately to unexpected situations. Accepts constructive feedback and initiates appropriate actions to correct situations. Manages difficult patients with high regard for staff and patient safety. Deals with a variety of unique situations where only limited standardization may exist. Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Uses appropriate judgment in communications and actions with patients, physicians, coworkers and, outside agencies. Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills to work in a fast paced environment involving interaction with associates, clients and patients. Current Paramedic certification/license in the state of Massachusetts.
