Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the Coordinator, Hearing Conservation, the Audiologist supports the identification, intervention, and education of children with hearing loss. The Audiologist conducts audiological evaluations with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children; assesses and consults regarding auditory functioning and hearing technology (hearing aids, cochlear implants and hearing assistive technology) as applicable to the educational setting; educates and guides parents to intervention and educational resources; and collaborates and communicates with education and community professionals working with deaf and hard of hearing students in the county. Actual responsibilities may be defined according to the range of knowledge and skills and departmental needs.

Requirements / Qualifications

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possess or be eligible for a valid California State license in Audiology, and a valid Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Audiology, and a valid California driver license.

  • Certification (Copy of valid California State license in Audiology, and Clinical Rehabilitative Services in Audiology)
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Minimum of 3 letters dated within the last 18 months [LETTERS MUST BE DATED])
  • Resume
