Position Summary

We're looking for a enthusiastic and energetic individual that will join our team and work under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor. Critical role that partners closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure acceptable inventory levels. This role is the first line of defense for all supplier related issues. Responsible for submitting orders to vendors, communicating order pickups within the organization and addressing past due orders with vendors.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 2 Years shipping and receiving clerk experience
  • Two years' experience using Bar Code Scanning
Responsibilities
  • Ensure "Safety First" is always practiced and observes and adheres to all job safety rules.
  • Abide by ALL Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Ensures warehouse is ALWAYS in AIB Audit readiness.
  • Verifies all paperwork is correct, completed and signed
  • WORK ORDERS
  1. i) Works with the warehouse supervisor to ensure all work orders are received from production in a timely manner.
  2. ii) Prints out and attaches an updated location inquiry sheet to the work order.
iii) Reviews all work completed during the shift to ensure the issuing is correct. If not, coordinates with the appropriate material handler to correct.
  1. iv) Once corrected, provides the copies of the work order to the production clerk for processing.
  2. v) Reviews all active work orders at the end of the shift to ensure they are issued completely. If not, coordinates with the appropriate material handler to correct before end of shift.
  • RECEIVING:
  1. i) Receives all Purchase Order Appointment calls: (1) Reviews existing appointments in ABBA (2) Provides appointment based upon established appointment times (a) If all appointment times are full, assigns the first available appointment (b) If later than scheduled date, notifies via e-mail purchasing and customer service of appointment date and time (3) Provides appointment number to company calling (4) Records appointment on "Appointment Board" with time, PO and appointment number given (5) Contacts Quality Control is present to conduct 10% check
  2. ii) Receives ALL drivers: (1) Verifies identification (2) Ensures driver signs in Guest register (3) Provides "Green" hair net and beard net if applicable (4) Obtains paperwork from Driver (5) Informs driver what dock door to back into (6)Informs driver we will let him know when he is unloaded (7) Escorts driver back out of warehouse (8) Prepares receiving packet (a) Verifies PO is correct (b) Verifies quantity shipped is correct (c) Prepares scanning label (9)Contacts Receiving Fork Lift Operator: (a) Provides receiving packet (b) Informs operator which door load is being unloaded from
iii) Receives receiving packet back from fork lift operator (1) Verifies all of packet is present (2) Verifies all documents are complete (3) Runs scanning report to ensure all items scanned from Purchase Order to a location (4) Confirms Purchase Order in ABBA (5) Records time driver released on BOL (6)Prepares appropriate number of copies (7) Notifies driver he is released and provide driver's paperwork (8) Files originals in Warehouse File (9)Places copy in folder to be delivered daily to accounting
  • SHIPPING:
  1. i) Reviews Outbound Request for scheduled shipment times
  2. ii) Follows SOP on "Trailer Pre-Load" or use actual Sales Order and prepares shipment packet


iii) Contacts "shipping" fork lift operator: (1) Provides Packet (2) Ensures proper transportation company is being loaded as per the Outbound Request (3) Contacts Quality Control is present to conduct 10% check: (a) To record temperatures for Fresh Express (b) To verify dates for ready Pac (4) Provides dock door
  1. iv) Monitors to ensure Sales Order is loaded and ready to ship on time: (1) If load will not leave on time or short of product notify customer service via telephone and follow up with e-mail to VP Operations and customer service (2) Notify customer service of actual time load left (if late)
  2. v) Receives ALL drivers: (1) Verifies identification (2) Ensures driver signs in Guest register (if not H & H driver) (3) Provides "Green" hair net (blue if H & H driver) and beard net if applicable (4) Informs driver what dock door to back into (5) Informs driver we will let him know when he is loaded (6)Escorts driver back out of warehouse
  3. vi) Receives shipping packet back from fork lift operator (1) Verifies all of packet is present (2) Verifies all documents are complete (3) Runs scanning report to ensure all items scanned to Sales Order (4) Matches scan report to BOL and to Pallet Load sheet to verify all three match and are correct (5) Completes the Shipment cover sheet, aligns paperwork in order of cover sheet and signs (6)Records time driver released on BOL (7) Prepares appropriate number of copies (8) Notifies driver he is released and provide driver's paperwork (9)Confirms Sales Order in ABBA (10) Files originals in Warehouse File (11) Places copy in folder to be delivered daily to customer service
  • TRANSFERS
  1. i) Verifies any product that needs to be transferred
  2. ii) Prepares Transfer paperwork
iii) Prepares transfer labels
  1. iv) Places transfer label on transfer paperwork
  2. v) Provides transfer paperwork and labels to operator to pull product
  3. vi) Once loaded: (1) Receives transfer paperwork back from fork lift operator (2) Reviews all paperwork to verify present and correct (3) Run scan report to cross check transfer and pallet load sheet (4) Notifies Transportation Manager: (a) Transfer is ready (b) Dock Door transfer is in (5) Places transfer paperwork in "Pending Transfer" folder (6)When transfer ships: (a) Confirms transfer in system (b) Makes appropriate copies (c) Files originals
  • ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
  1. i) Researches errors and issues with inventory
  2. ii) Prepares and provides reports to supervisor and manager as needed


iii)Maintains Warehouse Office in organized and professional appearance

Desired Qualifications
  • Intermediate to advanced computer spreadsheet and word processing
  • Ability to compose correspondence.
  • Ability to learn ABBA Soft Software.
  • Read and write English fluently
  • Ability and willingness to follow Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ability to receive written and verbal directions
  • Ability to understand general work processes
  • 6 months of relevant experience
