Furniture Coordinator

in

McLean, VA.
As the Furniture Coordinator your focus will be on all tenant furniture requests for new furniture, replacement furniture, and repairs of furniture. Working with the tenants will help establish what requirements are needed to procure a cost from our furniture vendors. Once the tenant has agreed to the requirements and the established funding the Furniture Coordinator will handle all the coordination and scheduling with the vendor to complete the work. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99. The Furniture Coordinator must be able to obtain a TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive all tenant furniture related request.
Meet with tenants to establish what their requirements are.
Work with our furniture vendors to go over the tenants requirement to establish a furniture plan.
Meet with tenants to go over the furniture plan and to provide a cost quote.
Once the tenants have approved the furniture plan and established funding, you will work with the vendor to procure all the furniture and materials needed.
Establish a schedule for the delivery and installation of the furniture with the vendor and present it to the tenant for approval.
Submit all necessary contractor access requests and schedule Security Monitors.
Coordinate all onsite entities that will need to be involved with the installation.
Make minor repairs to furniture that is onsite.
Coordinate the monthly furniture maintenance contract with the vendor.
Perform all other related duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
2-3 years experience in furniture assembly, installation, and repair.
1-2 years' experience in project coordination/scheduling.
Must be well organized and have the ability to prioritize work task.
High School diploma or GED required.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS with SCI eligibility
Must be able to work Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move/lift heavy objects, climb vertical ladders, work at heights and be proficient in the use of common hand and power tools. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
