Location Description:

Overview:
Our on-property Leisure Sales Manager will focus on representing Turtle Bay to the luxury travel industry. He or she will be responsible for identifying and sourcing leisure and Kamaaina and Japanese business in accordance with the resort's strategic plan to maximize room revenue during peak and non-peak periods. The Leisure Sales Manager will support the Director of Leisure Sales and the Dynamic Leisure Sales team with VIP engagement with top clients and guests. Will also work closely with the DOLS on Site Inspections, Discovery Trips, Client Experience and Marketing campaigns. Description

The ideal candidate is in Oahu, outgoing, well organized, displays excellent communication skills and is an expert in business development (uncovering new accounts and opportunities). This position reports directly to the Director of Leisure Sales and works closely with the remote leisure team to ensure that the transient sales strategy is in line with the property's business needs.

Support Leisure Sales Managers and Director of Leisure Sales on Site Inspections and Discovery Trips.

Strong Focus on VIP experience for sales clients and VIP Leisure guests.

Will work closely with the Leisure Sales Coordinator on ensuring VIP itineraries are produced for top clients.

Will develop the Kamaaina market alongside the Director of Leisure Sales through an innovative and direct sales approach to grow this market at a state level.

Develop the Japanese market through cultural familiarization and the ability to speak Japanese. Intermediate Japanese fluidity or conversational Japanese are a plus.

Creates and enhances client and guest experience through prearrival personalization and outreach.

Will work in tandem with Director of Leisure Sales on marketing campaigns with wholesalers and consortia clients.

Familiarization with the Japanese culture and language. Requirements

Guest or Leisure Sales Experience at a hotel or resort in Hawaii.

Minimum 5 years guest services or sales experience in a related position in a luxury hotel sales environment.

Demonstrated record of driving sales revenues in luxury hotel environments.

Strong ability to uncover new accounts and/or grow existing business opportunities.

Strong connection to Hawaiis culture.

Understanding of resort operations including Reservations, Front Desk, Marketing and Guest Experience. Qualifications

Prior experience selling a luxury resort

branded or independent.

Prior experience working with professional organizations that support the leisure / travel industry.

Prior experience working with Opera PMS.

Strong human and emotional intelligence.

Ability to be flexible and adapt to client and teams needs.

Availability to work on weekends.

Team player mentality.

Compensation Range:
The compensation for this position is $65,000.00/Yr. - $75,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
