PRN Telehealth Physician

PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT
As a Telehealth Physician , you will be working as a part of a care team to provide the best-in-class virtual patient care via video and telephonic appointments. In this role, you will see patients with complex medical conditions and serve as a point of escalation for questions from the entire care team.
The PRN Telehealth Physician would provide 32 total clinical hours per month, with 16 hours out of the 32 designated for weekend coverage.
Payrate: $120/hr weekdays, $130/hr weekends (Saturday 12 am - Sunday 11:59 pm)
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and provide direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to conduct diagnostic evaluations and propose appropriate treatment plans.
Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans as appropriate to an assessed medical condition.
Provide medical guidance to on-site nursing and relevant members of the care team.
Maintain working relationships with onsite medical providers.
Order and follow up on indicated laboratory tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely completion of medical records.
Remain accessible to the care team to solve problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
M.D. or D.O. required
MD or DO certified in multiple states (Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Missouri)
ABMS Board Certified in: Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Geriatrics or Emergency Medicine
5+ years of experience working with post-acute and long-term care population
Experience with treat in place in this setting
X+ years of telehealth experience
Demonstrated experience working with and educating NPs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
QAPI experience
Familiarity with CMS, Medicare Advantage, SNP Rules and Regulations
HCC and Risk Adjusted reimbursement methodology
Inpatient/SNF utilization metrics
State specific collaborative practice agreements and midlevel practitioner licensing
Knowledge of EMR
