Responsibilities Under general supervision, the Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist is responsible for ensuring safe procedures are carried out in the delivery of cardiac services to patients. Analyzes, uses and cares for all technical equipment and supplies and produces and maintains accurate records and reports as necessary. The Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist will scrub and assist the physician with cardiac, vascular and IR procedures. The Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist will be competent in hemodynamic monitoring, arrhythmia recognition, aseptic technique, and CVL scrub procedures and sterile equipment usage. Ensure patient needs are met in accordance with instructions of physician and facility's policies & procedures. Demonstrates respect for co-workers & develops positive working relationships with other departments. Communicates with courtesy when interacting with patients, physicians, facility staff, vendors and the public - in person, on the telephone, or by email. Preforms the role of CVL scrub by anticipating the needs of the physician and keeping the circulating nurse informed of any needs throughout a procedure. Ensures all supplies, equipment and medications are assembled prior to the start of the procedure. Combines the knowledge of human anatomy, cardiovascular procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies to facilitate the physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Responsible for ensuring all new equipment requests are appropriately analyzed based on utilization and data from the provider. Maintain radiation safety at all ties in accordance with radiation safety policies and procedures Promotes safe environment. Takes appropriate action in emergency situations, being aware of and controlling hazards which may endanger patients, visitors, and employees. Qualifications Qualifications: Education: Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiological technology, or of certified RCIS program, AS or BS degree preferred. High school graduate or equivalent required. ARRT or RCIS Certification required. USD $35.00/Hr. USD $45.00/Hr.
