Job Description *

Insight Global is seeking a Pharmacy Billing Specialist who will support our Pharmaceutical clients billing needs by performing data entry work and medical billing. This individual will be responsible for entering data into computer databases, managing and maintaining effective record keeping, and organizing files to collect information for future use. They are also responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing for our pharmaceutical products covered under various healthcare plans. You will play a vital role in supporting the financial health of our company.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage invoices related to pharmaceutical sales to healthcare providers, hospitals, and clinics.
  • Research and apply appropriate medical billing codes (e.g., HCPCS) to pharmaceutical products based on their use and applications.
  • Submit claims to insurance companies electronically and follow up on claim status.
  • Research and resolve denied claims, ensuring proper reimbursement.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and billing details.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Assist with generating reports on billing activity and trends.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare billing regulations and coding systems.
