Schedule: 8 on 6 off schedule. Wednesday,Thursday,Friday & Saturday one week and then Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday the next. 40 hours in each week but 8 consecutive days and then off for 6. They would be 10 hour shifts 9:30pm-0730am. Certifications - Required: Registered Pharmacist Pennsylvania license Experience - Required: Experience with Epic and sterile compounding 2 years relevant pharmacist experience Education- Required: Doctorate Pharmacy or Bachelor's Degree PharmacyKnowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required bility to accurately dispense and monitor medications. bility to work effectively in a team environment. bility to make independent judgments under stressful situations at times. Knowledge of laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to the distribution and control of scheduled and non-scheduled drugs and pharmacy security. Essential Functions: Prepares and dispenses medications for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Evaluates evidence-based literature to offer appropriate clinical recommendations in order to optimize drug selection and individualization of therapy. Ensures and executes policies and procedures that ensure appropriate, cost-effective, and safe medication use. Performs clinical medication surveillance, documents interventions, reports adverse drug reactions and medication errors. Coordinates the activities of pharmacy technicians engaged in the preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications and other pharmaceutical supplies. Counsels/Provides drug information pertaining to medications, drug usage, and compatibility to physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals, and patients in accordance with OBRA or other regulatory standards. Weighs, measures, and prepares sterile and non-sterile medication products utilizing appropriate tools and equipment. cts as a resource or consultant to other healthcare professionals regarding appropriateness, availability, cost, and/or alternativeness to therapies. Additional Responsibilities: May administer vaccines in accordance with network policies and state and federal law. Administering vaccines is a requirement in the retail pharmacy setting. May participate in rounds with the medical team May represent pharmacy department on multi-disciplinary committees as assigned by department leadership. May participate in inventory control measures. May participate in the development and implementation of evidence-based treatment guidelines. May mentor/precept pharmacy students, pharmacy residents or graduate pharmacists when assigned.
