Position Summary:
Performance of phlebotomy on in-patients and out-patients, nursing home patients, or other patients requiring laboratory studies. Performance of drug screen collections for DOT and non-DOT drug screening. Performance of Breath Alcohol testing under DOT regulations. Maintaining workflow in the lab by answering the phones, prioritizing, processing, and resulting of Physician orders. Meeting safety standards, supply stock guidelines, information data needs. Promoting team work with the department, the Physicians and staff, hospital personnel, patients and family members.

Qualification:
High School diploma or GED with clerical skills required. Phlebotomy Certification or completion of a phlebotomy training program required. Current drivers license. Computer skills, medical terminology, administrative skills, filing and experience in hospital environment is preferred.
Pursues programs of continuing education consistent with requirements of Granville Health System; participates in educational conferences, updates and maintains professional knowledge and skills related to areas of responsibilities.
