The surgical technologist functions as a scrub assistant. Surgical Technicians function under the supervision of a registered nurse at all times. A registered nurse must be available immediately in case of an emergency.Job Details:Responsibilities:Knowledge of the procedures performed and anticipates the surgeon's needs, including providing instruments, sutures and suppliesContribute to the patient's safety by collaborating with the interdisciplinary teamRequirements:Experience scrubbing into a variety of specialties preferredKnowledge of regulatory agencies and practice (eg. Nurse Practice Act, Infection Control, OSHA, DOH)Successful completion from an accredited school or college course for Surgical Technologist requiredCertification from the Surgical Technology Exam or eligibility to sit for the examBLS/AED trainingPosted Salary Range:USD $37.00 - USD $42.00 /Hr.:This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
