Position Summary

The Driveaway Van Lead is responsible for managing the employees that transport the vehicles from one location to the other in the van that they are assigned to. Primary goals are to ensure that the requirements of the Driveaway as well as our customer requirements are met.

The Drive Away Van Leads reports to the Yard Manager and / or Group Leader and has direct responsibility to ensure that all rules of the road are complied with.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

* Know, understand and follow Driveaway Processes.

* Know the inspection process and train team on standardized inspections process.

* Know how to use equipment (scanners/computer/etc.)

* Fill out necessary paperwork on a daily basis.

* Understand and know Caravan Driving process.

* Understand the Rules of the Road and conduct safety meetings daily.

* Manage a staff of 8 to 10 employees.

* Coordinate breaks to ensure high productivity.

* Follow Management direction on the best route for moving vehicles in a safe manner.

Essential Skills and Experience

* G.E.D. or High School Diploma.

* Intermediate computer skills using Windows based Word and Excel.

* Leadership experience a plus

* Valid driver's license required

* Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
