They coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Transportation, Warehouse, and Production Managers to fulfill their responsibilities.Essential FunctionsReview sales orders and forecasts and calculate materials needed for production.Review material requirements and inventory levels and coordinate with Procurement to order needed materials factoring in lead times.Coordinate with production managers to formulate production plans and create manufacturing orders to meet shipping deadlines.Troubleshoot issues that arise and adjust production plans accordingly.Continuously monitor inventory to utilize materials in the proper rotation.Collect, review, and analyze production data and identify ways to minimize cost and maximize efficiency.Input production data into the system and report on results.Special projects as assignedDescription & RequirementsRequired SkillsExcellent Excel and data analysis skillsExcellent time management and organization skills; able to multi-task and follow throughEffective written and oral communication skillsUnderstanding of supply chain, manufacturing processes and business operationsAttention to detail, speed and mathematical accuracySuperior problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlinesRequired Education & Experience Candidate must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3 years related production planning experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read and interpret documents written in English.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
