The LVN is a licensed nurse who works in an ambulatory care setting to provide nursing services.Job duties and responsibilities:Sets up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needsPerforms initial nursing intake and prepares patients for examinationPrepares patients for examination by reviewing current medications and reviewing documents in medical recordPrepares medical chart and records patient information needed to support the reason for visit such as vital signs and reason for visitProvides basic patient care and treatments such as taking vitals, performing diagnostic tests, phlebotomy, and specimen collection directed by the providerObserves patient, documents, and reports any changes in condition to the provider for instructions in taking necessary actions for careServes as a patient advocate and utilizes appropriate resources to support patient careQualificationsEducation Requirements: Current and valid California LVN License requiredLicense/Certifications:BLS from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross requiredIV/Phlebotomy Certified must obtain within one year of hire dateExperience: 1+ years of LVN experience in an outpatient setting preferredReq ID : 245Working Title : LVN - Reconstructive SurgeryDepartment : Reconstructive SurgeryBusiness Entity : Cedars-Sinai Medical Care FoundationJob Category : NursingJob Specialty : NursingOvertime Status : NONEXEMPTPrimary Shift : DayShift Duration : 8 hourBase Pay : $25.87 - $40.10
