ResponsibilitiesEnsure quality patient care during the operative procedure, and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile fieldAssist in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior, during and after surgical procedureMonitor surgical supplies for sterility prior to use and ensures that supplies are used in a judicious manner, charges are documented/submitted accurately and appropriatelyResponsible for preparing the surgical room including set-up of operating room by sterilizing and laying out of necessary surgical instruments prior to surgery, assists as needed during proceduresAssist in the development of policies, procedures, and standardsPerform any and all other duties as assigned QualificationsJob RequirementsGraduate from an accredited school of surgical technologySurgical Technician CertificationPreferred Job RequirementsOne (1) year of surgical scrub experience
