Job Description ECU Health About The Outer Banks Hospital The Outer Banks Hospital is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The 21-bed facility is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season. Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department. OBH is fully accredited, provides high quality care in a compassionate environment to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and has been nationally recognized for outstanding patient care. Position Summary Pharmacists at ECU Health are committed to the safe and effective use of medications through maximizing drug distribution and optimizing drug therapy outcomes; educating patients, providers, and ourselves on best practices; and fully integrating pharmacists into the continuum of care. Pharmacists report directly to a designated Pharmacy Supervisor based on area of practice. Minimum Requirements B.S. or PharmD in pharmacy 0 years of relevant pharmacy experience (post-graduate) Must be Licensed in North Carolina prior to start date or within 30 days of hire. Maintains active NC pharmacy license and provides proof of renewal prior to December 31 annually. American Heart Association BLS is required within 30 days of hire. Other Information This is a PRN position without benefits. Shift: As needed, 8 hour shifts Monday - Friday, 5 hour shifts on weekend.
