This position will architect, refine, maintain and improve network standards at Teza. We expect that you have flexibility to work outside of core business hours and on weekends with comp time. Location
Chicago, IL (Hybrid mode with 3 days in-office requirement)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, Implement, and maintain a high availability, low latency network infrastructure
  • Monitor and analyze the proper functioning of our network infrastructure. Take adaptive, retentive, and corrective measures and perform structural maintenance
  • Troubleshoot network and network-related issues
  • Work with other teams within the firm to address technological issues
  • Participate in the on-call support rotation and some weekend work
Basic Requirements
  • Seasoned engineer, with experience building and maintaining production trading networks
  • Experience with multicast and unicast routing protocols (IGMP, PIM, BGP, OSPF)
  • Experience managing firewalls, specifically with GRE/IPSec tunnels, DM-VPN, site to site and end-user VPNs
  • Deep understanding of the TCP/IP stack, experience with packet capture and tcpdump analysis tools
  • Knowledge of high-accuracy timing protocols such as PTP.
  • Scripting language experience such as Python for network automation, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with administering Linux and other open-source applications for network automation, monitoring, and authentication.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to have Requirements
  • Working knowledge of low-latency networking concepts
  • Experience with the design, deployment, and operation of modern IP multicast networks
  • Experience with implementing and troubleshooting kernel bypass (ExaNIC, ef_vi) a plus
