Position SummaryThe Shipping/Receiving Clerk ensures the proper identification, accuracy, and continuous flow of goods and services.

Shipping

Coordinate all LTL, truckload & Fed-ex shipments. Ensure all paperwork is correct. Organize and assist in processing international shipments. Assist with Canada and Roper Mex paperwork as well as processing BOL's for truck deliveries.Ensure the integrity of inventory by verifying transactions and cycle counting. Adjust on hand inventory as needed. Must have a working knowledge of Neptune's QAD ERP system and Oasis computer program. Coordinate with manufacturing to get product to shipping in a timely manner. Assist in directing work flow of department. Coordinate Inventory Handlers time to ensure orders are pulled in a timely manner. Ensure all paperwork and labeling is correct on Hazmat shipments. Maintain Hazmat Certification. Misc. assigned tasks and recordkeeping.Place credit card purchases for shipping supplies. Reconcile purchases each month.

Receiving

Ensure the on time delivery of parts to the production floor. Ensure the integrity of stockroom inventory through accurate transactions, cycle counting and cleaning up negative on hand inventories. Must have a working knowledge of Neptune's QAD ERP System. Work with production, accounting, purchasing and vendors to correct inventory discrepancies. Properly identify and ensure that processes (FIFO, ISO, bar code, ESD, shelf life, hazardous materials, etc.) are followed. Assist in directing work flow and problem solving. Ensure safety policy is being followed and housekeeping expectations (5S) are met. Verification of transaction processes, keying of receipts, writing manual receivers, etc. Place credit card purchases for receiving and stockroom supplies. Reconcile purchases each month. Misc. assigned tasks and recordkeeping. Activity related to cardboard, scrap, recycling, trash, etc.

Requirements

Education:2 year Degree Required (4 year Degree Preferred); 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of Degree.

Experience:1 year related experience required.

Special Training:QAD, Licensed forklift operator, RCRA, Hazardous materials training for international and domestic shipments. (Air, Vessel and Truck)
