Engineering Internship

Job Description

** Specific Responsibilities:**

• Organize and maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment
• Support project timing and budgets to meet delivery commitments
  • Coordinate meetings with vendors in support of the projects
  • Attend specification meetings with Global Team to ensure project meets scope
• Utilize Gantt chart measurement to ensure timing and milestones are achieved
• Develop and implement new manufacturing processes for new materials, document as required
• Implement continuous improvement projects including factory automation (vision systems etc.)
• Maintain current and revised plant layout in CAD
• Present findings weekly with Grandview engineering group, reviewing results and providing recommendations
• Other assigned projects/tasks as required to operate the Automotive Business
• Support engineering group (process, project, PLC) as required

Qualifications:
Qualifications

** Qualifications/Experience:**

• Minimum education: High School diploma; some college or technical training is preferred
• Basic knowledge of metrology and manufacturing requirements
• Good knowledge of electrical circuits, metal working, plastic processes, and industry
• Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Must be self-motivated, demonstrate a quality of innovative thinking and pride in craftsmanship
