Description Specialization:Anesthesiology CardiacJob Summary:Seeking a Fellowship trained Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our practice at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville. Opportunity Highlights/Qualified Candidates: Model consists of 12 Physician Anesthesiologists and 28 CRNAs using a care team model with 20 sites of service and approximately 18,000 total cases per year.Physician will be part of a 5 Cardiac Anesthesia MD team Diverse case mix including general, trauma, endo, ortho, OB, GYN, neuro, spine, cardiac, vascular, bariatric, robotic, etc.Must be Anesthesia boarded, cardiac trained and TEE certified or willing to obtain certification and licensed or licensable in FloridaCall burden: 5 CV day shifts /month. 1 weekend call shift/month, 7a-7p beeper (unrestricted), no overnight call burden.Cardiac responsibilities includeall open heart cases, ECMO, TAVRs and MitraClips.Per heart surgeon 325 open heart cases, 75+ TAVR, 50 mitraclips Incentive/Benefits Package: Yearly CME stipend10 weeks’ Time away from PracticeGenerous compensation, start date Bonus, relocation assistance, Cardiac stipendOccurrence -based malpractice coverage 100% prior acts coverage provided About HCA Florida Memorial Hospital: 454 bed, acute care medical facilityCertified Stroke Center and Accredited Chest Pain CenterStaffing model of 12 anesthesiologists and 28 APPs covering an average of 20 sites of service daily and approximately 18,000 total cases per year Community:With a population of close to 1.5 million people, a low cost of living, high quality of life and wonderful climate, our region is one of the few places in the United States that is experiencing a growing population of young professionals.
