Ultrasound Tech I/II/III

Performs ultrasound studies according to established protocols or physicians' special instructions.Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Performs studies accurately and efficiently in an effort to meet established turn-around times. Prepares reports for physician interpretation and ensures quality images are available for interpreting physician.* Provides age appropriate care, anticipates patient/family needs, comfort and safety and assists with exceeding customer expectations.* Experience performing abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, pediatric, small parts and vascular studies* Participates with patient transportation.* Assists with regulatory/accrediting agencies to insure departmental compliance.* Performs department surveys and quality control on equipment and reports variances for service.* Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).* Responds to on-call coverage in a professional manner and available in 1 hour.* Other duties as assignedMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:* Thorough knowledge of Ultrasound diagnostic techniques, treatment and education.* Strong skills in using software such as Excel, Word, EMR Systems, etc.* Medical terminology.* Superb organization skills, follow-through and attention to detailPREFERRED BEHAVIORAL SKILLS:* Integrity:* A personal presence which is characterized by a sense of honesty and the willingness to do the right thing.* Compassion:* A personal presence which is characterized by a sense of caring that is reflected in a high level of empathy and customer service with all that we come in contact.* Ability to manage conflict, consider other points of view, and offer alternative solutions without jeopardizing overall project direction and the ability to manage customer expectations.* Accountability:* Demonstrated track record of ownership of situations, projects and issues.* Able to work autonomously and have a high degree of flexibility to adapt to changing projects, priorities and work volumes.* Respect:* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse population.* Treat all internal and external customers with a positive, proactive service orientation.* Excellence:* Strong communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to influence and lead teams to conclusion/decision making.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:* Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school in Ultrasound or higherPREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* Two years clinical experience post-graduationREQUIRED LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:* Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).* Must be a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), (VS) Vascular Sonography* Must be credentialed in Abdomen (AB) and OB/GYN.* Healthcare Provider BLS through AHA or ARC before start date.PREFERRED LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:* N/AWe offer competitive pay, a generous benefit package and a reason to be proud of what you do, every day.
