Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p (we can be flexible for the right candidate)

Pay: $16.00

As an IT Support Technician 1 Intern, you will provide entry-level technical support and assistance to
end-users within the organization. You will work closely with the IT team to resolve hardware and
software issues, perform basic troubleshooting, and contribute to the overall maintenance of the
company's IT infrastructure. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience
and develop foundational skills in the field of IT.

Duties Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, addressing
    hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving computer problems, including software installation, system
    configuration, and hardware replacement.
  • Document and track all support requests and their resolutions using a help desk ticketing system.
  • Install, configure, and update computer software and operating systems.
  • Set up and configure computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other
    peripherals.
  • Assist with the maintenance and management of network devices, such as switches, routers, and
    firewalls.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to deploy and maintain software updates, patches, and security
    enhancements.
  • Assist in managing user accounts and access permissions in Active Directory or other user
    management systems.
  • Provide basic training and guidance to end-users on the use of hardware, software, and other IT
    resources.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT documentation, including user manuals and
    troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the IT field to enhance technical
    knowledge and skills.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures related to IT security, data privacy, and compliance.
Requirements

Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in the IT industry.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Previous experience or coursework in IT support is a plus, but not required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant college or university program.
  • Basic understanding of IT concepts and principles.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and common software applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical
    individuals.
