Sky View serves as the bridge between hospital and home, spanning the gap from recovery to community reentry. Our luxurious and hotel-like environment is the ideal setting for those in need of Post Acute Rehabilitation or Long-Term Care. Our team of highly skilled physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapists really care and work together to create an individualized therapy plan that helps residents reach their highest level of functioning in as short an amount of time as possible – preparing for their eventual return home. Provides managerial direction to physical, occupational and speech therapists and rehab aides. Promotes and participates in the delivery of rehab services to patients, professional colleagues and referral sources. Performs various management activities such as program development and evaluation, implementation of policies and procedures, promotion of customer services, and medical charting and record-keeping. Works in collaboration with the Medical Director, director of Nursing Services and other professional colleagues a necessary. Must possess sound clinical knowledge, working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid system, and a thorough understanding of the long-term care survey system. Working knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting. Ability to understand and react effectively to the needs of various clinical age populations (adolescent, adult, geriatric) significant to everyday practice, evidenced through academic/clinical education and training, and/or experience. All duties assigned to staff position of corresponding discipline of PT, OT or ST. Implements and monitors a quality improvement program for analysis and evaluation of data. Monitors quality of the medical record as it relates to reimbursement guidelines and scheduling. Participates in the recruitment and retention of employees through interviewing, orientation and evaluation. Assists in new-hire orientation by providing department-specific in-services. Implements and maintains departmental and administrative policies and procedures, as well as clinical standards of practice. Participates in review and development of same. Maintains and analyzes statistical data for rehab services as required by administrative and finance department. Recommends and prioritizes equipment and space needs to Administrator; manages rehab budget. Updates and maintains accurate documentation of all programs. Updates and maintains accurate list of adaptive devices. Coordinates Med A meetings with appropriates team members. Participates in Quarterly Quality Assurance meetings. Requirements Supervisory or managerial experience in a hospital or preferably nursing home, long-term care (LTC), skilled nursing facility (SNF), and/or sub-acute rehabilitation setting. Experience in management within a geriatric skilled nursing setting highly preferred. Must have two to three years supervisory experience. Must meet the educational/licensure requirements for clinical practice in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology. Must possess a current NYS license in good standing, three to five years working clinical experience. Ability to work cohesively with residents, families, and staff from various departments. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible. Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but
