Summary

Position Summary

Assumes responsibility for problem resolution, staffing workflow, and equipment maintenance. Implements, maintains, and assists in developing procedures, testing platforms, and quality control programs. Serves as a technical resource for all internal and external customers.

Provides training and competency assessment.

Assumes charge responsibility for the laboratory in the absence of a supervisor. Performs the essential duties and responsibilities of a MT/MLT.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education:

Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or a similar field required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

License/Certifications:

Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician or as a Categorical Technologist (e.g., C, H, I, BB, M) required. Medical Technologist preferred (ASCP, AMT, HEW, ABHI).

Experience:

1 year of experience as an MLT/MT required. Previous Lead experience preferred.
