Position Summary:Provides direct and individual nursing care to assigned residentsbased on nursing standards and under the supervision of theDirector of Resident Care (DRC). Also maintains compliance withall state and federal regulations and the standards of HRA.Essential Functions:•Ensures quality and safe delivery of health services to residents•Implements plan of care formulated by physician and DRC•Provides accurate and timely documentation of care given•Assesses and provides resident and family/care giver informationpertinent to diagnosis or plan of care•Administers medication per physician orders. Documents properlyon MAR. Observes for any adverse reaction and notifies physicianaccordingly•Assembles resident charts, resident records and checks that allnecessary forms are complete and accurate•Prepares incident/accident reports for residents as needed perpolicy. Notifies physician and family post incident/accident perpolicy and documents appropriately•Maintains safe and healthy working environment and uses safework methods and procedures in accordance with clinicalstandards•Assists resident in learning appropriate self-care activities•Organizes and monitors associates and material resourcesnecessary for meeting the needs of the residents under his/her care•Recognizes emergencies and life-threatening situations andinitiates appropriate action(s)•Maintains confidentiality and resident rights regarding all residentpersonal information•Performs any other duties requested by supervisor•The ability to work in a safe and alert manner•The ability to take ownership for associate's safety and the safety ofthe residents2•Must disclose any medication that might impair associate's abilityto perform the job safely or competently.Non-Essential Functions:•Leads by example exhibiting the CORE Values through servantleadership•Encourages teamwork and promotes company philosophy•Attends required community meetings and participates LifeEnrichment activities when able•Completes all required courses in adherence with HRA University•Is prompt and able to perform the required duties of the position ona regular, predictable basis•Becomes familiar and understands how to report a missing personusing the Safe Return program or equivalent•All associates are responsible for maintaining a safe and secureenvironment for all community residentsQualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:•Graduated from an accredited program for LPN/LVN and iscurrently registered in the state of the community•Must obtain valid Continuing Education credits as required by thestate of the community•Training in Alzheimer and Dementia with focus on ValidationTherapy•Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience in a health carefacility.•Experience in a long term care community and/or geriatric nursingfacility preferred•Experience in emergency care and first-aid•Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management,associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts•Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook software preferred•Able to make independent decisions•Able to seek out new methods and willing to incorporate them intoexisting practices when applicable•Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizensEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
