This position exists to maintain a safe, secure and orderly learning environment for students, teachers and staff. The duties and responsibilities of this position include making recommendations regarding school security issues, responding to emergency situations on school property, preparing written reports for appropriate school officials, filing criminal citations/allegations as directed by the principal or designee, and patrolling school hallways, classrooms and school grounds. Additionally, this position uses current practices of positive behavior support techniques that comply with school law and IU1 policy, procedures, and training.

This is a contracted position, and the hourly rate range is $22.00-$25.00 (individual insurance benefits available).

The successful candidate will be required to successfully complete the Basic School Resource Officer Course of Instruction offered by the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) or an equivalent course of instruction approved by PCCD.
