During the 2020 pandemic, we have been recognized as a regional leader in COVID care and testing. **Job Description** **University Health** **Lakewood Medical Center** is currently seeking a full-time Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our medical staff in providing psychiatric coverage of our 16-bed geriatric psychiatric acute care unit. This position will work as leader of a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatry residents, medical students, psychologists, medical social workers, dieticians, nurses and recreation therapists. Other duties will include: helping to cover our inpatient mental health units during physician absences, consultation liaison services to medical center and teaching of psychiatry residents and medical students. Participation in hospital-based committees and providing lectures to other medical specialties is encouraged. The qualified candidate will have graduated from an accredited medical school, completing a residency in psychiatry (experience in geriatric psychiatry preferred, but not required) UHP provides a comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation.
