ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the health and safety of guests, employees and members in the Spa and adhere to guidelines and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety Manual.
  • Ensure that good practices are applied to all issues in relation to guests and colleagues.
  • Help create a happy and motivated team and ensure the smooth running of the Spa at all times.
  • Perform Nail, Hair, Waxing treatments and services.
  • Promote Salon and Spa treatments and services.
  • Learn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and Members.
  • Perform Fitness duties while maintaining the clients comfort at all times. Ensure individualized guest service through acknowledging and responding to their needs and expectations.
  • Actively participate in other areas of the Spa Operation, Nail, Hair, etc., product knowledge and retail sales.
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic and neat work environment at all times, ensuring all equipment is in safe working order.
  • Inspect and evaluate operation condition of all equipment. Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately.
  • Record and bill orders accurately into the POS and process payments using guest/member cards in accordance with accounting procedures.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions and historical information regarding the company and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one's ability.
  • Stock towels and empty towel bins.
  • Communicate usage totals, problems, concerns to appropriate manager.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations. Regular attendance required.

In addition to hourly compensation, this position is paid commission at the discretion of the company, and is subject to be changed, modified, or terminated at any time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school education or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as a licensed Cosmetologist required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must obtain and maintain certification from an accredited school of Salon Technician/Cosmetologist required.CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
