Adecco Medical & Science is looking to hire for a OB Patient Care Coordinator role for their client in Bradenton, FL location.
Shift hours - M-F (9am to 5pm)
Pay -30/HR.


POSITION SUMMARY:
The OB Patient Care Coordinator oversees and coordinates patient care within the obstetrics department. They will ensure that pregnant patients receive high-quality and comprehensive care throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum periods. This role involves patient education, communication, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to provide a seamless and supportive healthcare experience.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide pregnant patients with essential information about their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. Offer guidance on prenatal nutrition, labor and delivery expectations, and newborn care.
  • Coordinate and schedule obstetric appointments, tests, ultrasounds, and consultations with various healthcare providers, ensuring a well-organized care plan .
  • Serve as a point of contact for pregnant patients and facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each obstetric patient, including prenatal, labor, and postpartum care information.
  • Conduct risk assessments for high-risk pregnancies and ensure appropriate monitoring and interventions are in place.
  • Coordinate support services, such as lactation consultants, social workers, and childbirth educators, to meet the diverse needs of patients.
  • Advocate for patients' needs and rights within the healthcare system, helping to navigate any barriers or challenges they may encounter.
  • Be prepared to assist during obstetric emergencies, such as labor complications, and provide immediate support.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered care.
REQUIREMENTS & PREFERENCES:
  • A bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare management, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of obstetrics, prenatal care, and labor and delivery processes
  • Knowledge of patient advocacy and ethical guidelines
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to relate to the public and patients, regardless of ethnic, religious, and economic status
  • Exceptional independent, critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written, oral, and active listening skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess a high degree of empathy, ethics, initiative, and judgment with the ability to maintain confidence relating to sensitive matters

Our program provides employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.

Pay Details: $29.00 to $30.00 per hour
