Are you an experienced Registered Nurse/MS/Tele with a desire to excel? If so, then TALENT Healthcare Staffing Services may have the job for you Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse/MS/Tele to work at their company in Winston-Salem, NC.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at the facility by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health. The Registered Nurse utilizes the best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for the management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

  • Target Ratios: 1:6 (unit strives to keep this ratio but also wants to understand that there can be times when the ratio is 1:7 due to callouts and/or general staffing needs). Fast-paced unit.
  • Float Requirement: FLOATING REQUIRED as needed to other med/surg units/floors.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend is required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year.
  • PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Pt population: 2nd GI cares for a robust mixture of patients with GI conditions, patients with blood loss and anemia associated with the GI tract, patients with infections, some renal patients, surgical patients who have had GI surgery, and we have 10 Tele beds for monitoring cardiac rhythms.
  • SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Fast-paced unit. On average they turn over a third of their beds every day.
  • UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS/EPIC/SBAR.
  • Traveler Experience: Unit will NOT Accept 1st time Travelers. **Need to have a 1 YEAR of traveler Experience, as this is a complex floor.
  • Skills: IV start
  • Certs: BCLS
  • Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for, this specialty

Preferred:

  • Telemetry preferred.
