Sales Director

Plan and ensure execution of Division sales strategy for assigned area (USA, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean), to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems and/or services in a profitable way. Responsible for leading, developing and coaching the sales organization proactively, to exceed the sales targets through high performance to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Builds professional and trustful long-term relationships with the local customer base, such as end users and engine OEMs.
General Accountabilities:
1. Strategy
Creates, plans, and implements sales strategy, and strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with global sales initiatives and strategy. Achieves sales targets in respect to both budgets and sales efficiency.
2. Targets
Establishes sales targets and ensures sales achievement through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed.
3. Customer Acquisition
Identifies opportunities at existing and potential new customers within a defined geographical area determines plans for acquisition and allocates resources.
4. Information Sharing
Coordinates the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc., and evaluates data to ensure the achievement of goals. Monitors and provides reports to the Marketing and Sales organization on market intelligence.
5. Customer Relations
Supports the development of strong relationships with key customers. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key decision-makers. Manages globally operating accounts in various markets and applications. Ensures efficient market communications.
6. Volume, Profit & Costs
Ensures achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate prices and margins for sales. Participates in the calculation and negotiations of key contracts. Manages ongoing costs.
7. Sales Process
Takes ownership of the sales processes, and all relevant training and development plans, actions, and programs. Foster sales technics like Value Based Selling and Customer Pain & Gain Analysis.
8. People, Leadership & Development
Ensure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed. Coaches motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments, such as Marketing, , Product Management, Business Development, and Operation, to align efforts and achieve business goals.
10. Compliance
Ensure the sales team adheres to all company policies and legal regulations.
Specific Tasks:
Implements and executes the global and local strategic growth initiatives in the allocated Countries/Areas
Develop and execute a strategy to Grow Non-Accelleron Turbocharger Service Business
Grow long-term service agreements to meet local and global targets
Grow Digital Solution sales in North America
Business review meeting preparation and participation
Local Service business potential, order forecast, and market share review
Local Service Market Intelligence (Industries, Competition, Trends)
Support in cash collection as required
Education, Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field (MBA or Masters Degree is a plus).
>10 Years experience in sales management and leadership, with a successful track record.
Preferred knowledge of Marine, Power Plants, O&G or similar industry
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Proficiency in using sales management software and CRM systems.
Result-oriented and customer-focused.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment.
Deep knowledge of the North American market and industry.
