Our dedicated caregivers are working at the forefront of medicine to address the overall needs of our patients and eliminate healthcare disparities. **Join the Correctional Medicine Department** _Primary Patient Population:_ + Incarcerated patients (Chronic Disease, Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health, Nursing) _Primary skills utilized/learned:_ + Acute clinical assessment + Medication Administration + Ability to obtain National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) certification + Time management, critical thinking, delegating + Wound Care + IV Therapy/Phlebotomy _Personnel LPN will work with_ _:_ + RNs + Medical Assistants (MAs) + Paramedics + Medical Providers + Corrections Officers _Number of beds on unit:_ + Facility houses an average of 1700 patients daily _Awards or Recognitions the unit has received:_ + Achieved accreditation by National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) **MetroHealth offers industry-leading benefits, including tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance.
