Interested in being part of our team?Join us on our journey for a better tomorrow.The RoleAs a Calibration Technician, you will be part of a global calibration team providing calibration services to Atlas Copco, Industrial Technique customers within Sub-Saharan Africa. You will be part of the Service Business Line and will report directly to the Calibration Laboratory Manager.We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Calibration Technician whose duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Performing equipment calibrations according to approved norms & standards, nationally and internationally• Handling regular audits and certifications• Safeguarding traceability of measuring equipment and results• Contribution to problem solving of quality assurance issues• Manage customer equipment for calibrations within the turnaround time KPI’s• Supply calibration quotes and tenders as per customer calibration requirements• Improve existing calibration procedures• Assist in the upkeep and improvement of the laboratory management system and day to day tasks• Support calibration team members with daily scheduled tasks (laboratory and on-site)• Cooperation and communication with product specialists and production companies• Fulfilling full compliance with necessary statutory and regulatory requirements• Supporting of sales and project teams in all relevant quality assurance issues• Promoting professional calibration services of Atlas Copco ToolsTo succeed, you will need• Firsthand experience in the quality assurance area• Knowledge of torque calibrations and/or metrology• Good English skills both oral and written• Solid computer and MS-Office skills• Strong customer service skills• Ability to analyze and interpret data and results• High attention to detail• High degree of reliability• Team player• Resilient and goal oriented• Self-motivated• Willing to travel (including internationally from time to time)• Valid driver’s license• Valid MetCert in the torque metrology field is an advantage• Qualification in Mechanics or Electronics is an advantageIn return, we offer youAt Atlas Copco we believe that passionate people create exceptional things and we encourage lifelong learning where we want to see our people grow and develop new skills as well as competencies and gain new experiences.
