YOUR ROLE:

As a Front-end Engineer at Sameday, you will collaborate closely with our design team to create a user-friendly product. Your responsibilities will include expanding the core functionality of our application, paying attention to detail, and considering performance implications. To maintain optimal speed, you may experiment with Core React functionality, Next.JS, and Firebase.

New features often originate from customer ideas, and it will be your task to take those ideas, scope them out, build, test, document, and deploy them to production. In addition to gathering customer feedback, you will also contribute to our product roadmap, which is created collaboratively by the design and engineering teams.

Your primary focus will be on React and Typescript, working with a Node.js backend.

At Sameday, we foster a cross-functional work environment where you will interact with designers, customer success representatives, senior executives, as well as marketing and sales teams. As an engineer, you will have a significant influence on product decisions and will frequently collaborate with designers to scope and develop projects. Our design team is proficient in both Figma and coding.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

5+ years of professional front-end development experience, preferably including some time spent in startup environments. Extensive experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React. Previous involvement in close collaboration with designers, constructing flexible and modular libraries and components. Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintainable, scalable CSS. Experience leading technically challenging cross-functional projects. Proven track record of identifying valuable projects, outlining the strategy, and executing them autonomously. A customer-centric mindset and an interest in engaging with customers to ensure that our product meets their needs. Reflection and understanding of what has contributed to your past successes. Bonus points if you have experience mentoring other team members.
