JOB DESCRIPTION

Nurses are responsible for accurately assessing each patient on a continual basis in order to determine the patient's response to medical and nursing interventions. They evaluate the need to administer medications such as vasoactive agents, oxygen and others. Due to surgery possibly causing physical, emotional and psychological stress these nurses must be sensitive, aware and able to meet the psychological needs of the patient and family.

Must have a minimum of 2 years of current critical care experience and uphold the mandatory BCLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred certification consists of a critical care course.
