Client Summary:

Summary of Need:

Schedules patients for examinations.

Receives & explains to the patients on ultrasound procedure; answers all related questions as required.

Obtains clinical data prior to examinations; consults with Physician regarding patient history and to determine appropriate action.

Prepares patient for ultrasound examination, performs the procedure and communicates results of diagnostic examination to the Physician.

Assists in the selection of software and imaging parameters, has knowledge in equipment positioning; returns equipment to its original location after each procedure.

Develops results, and is responsible for the quality of scans.

Monitors patients status during procedure and reports changes to appropriate staff.

Maintains equipment and performs diagnostic testing, when needed.

Effectively uses & has prior knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Qualifications/Requirements:

1 year General Registered Ultrasound experience

RDMS Registered

Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by American Radiologic Diagnostic Medical

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by American Radiologic Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required. BLS preferred.

Shift/Schedule:

4pm-12am with alternating weekends Rotating weekends is a requirement and workers must report as scheduled including holidays.
