Position Highlights Work location: 6100 Harris Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76132Work environment: Surgery Department Work hours: Days 40 hours per week Full-Time, Monday - Friday 6:30 - 17:00, w/variable day off; call required. Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth (THSW) is a 222-bed full-service facility that includes surgical and imaging services, a 24-hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth, which has been serving Tarrant County residents since 1987, has 1,100 employees, 120 volunteers, and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff. The hospital is a Pathway to Excellence® designated hospital by American Nurses Credentialing Center, a designated UnitedHealth Premium Surgical Spine specialty center and has earned Quality Respiratory Care Recognition from the AARC. We invite you to join us in furthering your career and our accomplishments and philosophy of excellence.Position Responsibilities THSW Certified Surgical Tech's will assist in some incredible Robotic procedures to include Urologic, Gynecologic, and General Surgery.They also will assist in 10 OR suites providing services in Orthopedic, Ortho/Spine, Podiatry, Plastics, Vascular, Gynecology, Urology and General Surgery. EducationH.S. Diploma or Equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 Req OrOther Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology Upon hire ReqOther Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology Upon hire PrefExperience1 Year current operating room experience PrefLicenses and CertificationsCST - Certified Surgical Technologist graduate of an accredited surgical tech program Upon Hire Req OrCST - Certified Surgical Technologist and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 Upon Hire Req OrCST - Certified Surgical Technologist graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology 2 Years Req OrLVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire Req AndBCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly ReqSkillsA high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, acceptable grooming practices and ability to function in a fast-paced, changing environment.#LI-J
