Testing raw milk for antibiotics is a CCP of food safety management system.From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: •Take all safety precautions and receive dairy raw ingredients as scheduled.•Using a variety of test reagents, perform and verify daily antibiotics machine calibrations to ensure that equipment is functioning properly.•Inspect / test / verify incoming material conforms to CVC Inc. specifications and all control measures and critical control points are implemented. Report any out of compliance incidents to supervisor.•Pull and take samples to the testing lab for analysis as directed.•Accurately record all applicable information on the related forms.•Ensure that the quality and safety of the product is not jeopardized.•Ensure that the fluid raw materials are stored at proper temperatures in appropriately cleaned and sanitized equipment.•Ensure proper rotation of materials.•Ensure Master Cleaning & Sanitation Schedules are performed and updated.•Check Cleaning & Sanitizing chemical concentrations.•CIP tankers as required.•Cleaning, sanitation of the equipment and housekeeping of the area.•Follow other instructions as directed by the supervisor.RequirementsCandidate must have the following attributes/skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity, vision abilities (close, distance color and ability to focus), able to push/pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally, be able to stand for entire shift, be able to perform repetitive movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching).RequirementsFrom your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: •Must pass written and equipment evaluation examination and obtain a Sampler & Weigher's license from California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA ) prior to receiving milk. •Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense and understanding to fulfill instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram or schedule form. •Language Skills: Person must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the company. •Mathematics: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.•Computer skills : Basic MS Word / Excel.•Knowledge of personal safety practices, common sense, and basic organizational skills.Education:•High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) is preferredExperience:•Previous employment in a food industry setting is preferred•Stable and dependable work history is requiredSpecialized Knowledge:•Basic mathematical skills are required (must be able to calculate averages)Skills/Abilities:•Strong attention to detail and accuracy•Manual dexterity•Vision abilities (close, distance color and ability to focus)•Push/pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally,•Stand for entire shift•Perform repetitive movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching)The ideal candidate will be proactive and dynamic, flexible and receptive to new ideas, down to earth and pragmatic, analytical and attentive to detail.
