*Position at MacAllister Rentals*

**Objective**

Primary duty of position includes but is not limited to: the safe and courteous loading, unloading and delivery of equipment to customer sites within Michigan and surrounding states.

**Responsibilities**

* Doing daily safety checks on trucks and equipment

* Reporting to dispatch for delivery/pick-up assignments

* Courteously delivering equipment to customer sites

+ Deliver and pickup equipment in a safe and timely manner

+ Check equipment fuel, fluid levels and proper operations before loading

+ Rental contract, pickup tickets and damage tickets are to be filled out completely and legibly and signed by proper person(s).

+ Demonstrate the safe and correct operation of equipment at the time of delivery.

+ Notify shop leadman or service manager and rental coordinator of damaged equipment.

+ Contact rental coordinator after each delivery.

+ Maintain vehicle and equipment to present a clean and professional appearance..

+ Storage of equipment and vehicles in appropriate manner when not in use to prevent property damage.

+ Complete any and all special assignments or project from store manager in a timely manner

* Safety

* Maintain equipment to meet DOT inspection criteria

+ Follow DOT laws regarding the loading and hauling of equipment

* Secure all unused chains and binders when not in use

* Drive with lights on

* Actively participate in safety meetings

* Dont violate safety policies and rules

* No involvement in an accident that is caused by a violation of defensive driving principles resulting in property damage over $100 per year.

**Qualifications**

* Knowledge, skills and abilities typically required through a high school education with some technical training

* Minimum of a Class B CDL required but Class A CDL preferred

* Minimum 2 years hauling experience driving a vehicle while towing a trailer or experience driving a rollback / straight truck

* Familiarity with delivery areas would be helpful as well as the ability to read and understand maps of the city and surrounding areas.

* Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and listening

* Product Knowledge would be a plus

* Excellent customer service skills

* Must have a clear driving record
