summary Maintenance Electrician Columbus, GA area $33.13/HR Must have resume We are looking for motivated individuals who are capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment. The workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity. Specific responsibilities include preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, minimize equipment down time and perform small project activities. The position will require working in a multitasking role with other maintenance mechanics and electricians to complete any given task. Job Responsibilities: Must be able to work in a team environment Ability to perform PM inspections Will be required to perform maintenance support to all production equipment at the facility Competency in fundamental electrical skills necessary for electrical troubleshooting; PLC's Variable frequency and DC Drives and control circuits Knowledgeable in LOTT, Arc Flash, Hot Work, PreTask and Lockout Exception Forms Follow all safety rules and practices Preform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components and observing operations. Responsible for performing emergency break down of equipment as necessary to support plant operations Must be able to accurately measure and test equipment Responsible for preforming electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed Must maintain a clean and organized work area Responsible for accurately and completely maintaining and preparing maintenance records and other paperwork required required-skills: Requirements: Must have a HSD or GED 2 years of successful mechanical and electrical troubleshooting Must be able to work alternating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed Must be able to work with computer systems Must be willing to fully cross train in other technical areas to enhance company capabilities Must have strong knowledge of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, electrical and electronics technologies Must be able to work as a team with others Must willing to work any shift, be called in, work holiday and overtime depending on company needs Must be able to work with the computer system for maintenance processes Competencies include: Mechanical aptitude Troubleshooting expertise Electrical knowledge Prior to initiating employment, all candidates considered for employment will be required to participate in an extensive testing process which includes a written and hands-on test, structured panel interview, background check and physical/drug testing.
