**Description**

The Driver provides transportation services for children served by KVC West Virginia. Requires an individual to have a flexible schedule that can include day, evenings, nights and possible weekends. Drivers will be given a schedule for transports but also will be on-call to assist with unscheduled transports. Drivers must be accountable to the transports they accept. Timely arrival and drop off of child(ren) youth to the appropriate staff or guardians must be completed to ensure their well being and safety. Experience working with children and youth with behavioral problems and/or being compassionate and understanding is required to be successful. Good time management is required to stay organized with transports. Accurate transportation logs and monitors as well as time sheets must be completed and submitted weekly. Details of the mood and behaviors of the youth as well as any issues or concerns that occur or are overheard are imperative to other KVC staff involved in case that could impact the child or youth in our care. Professionalism and customer service are a priority as the Driver will be representing KVC in the community. Therefore, personal appearance must be neat and clean. Drivers will report to the Director of Safe at Home. Must have basic computer and typing skills along with good grammar skills to complete required documentation of transports per our contract with state.
