Need a fabulous new work home? Our Houston Law Firm client is seeking an experienced Catastrophic Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney on a full-time, direct-hire basis. This Attorney role is hybrid, working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. The right Attorney candidate must have 5+ years of insurance defense and personal injury working on catastrophic events for example explosions, slip and falls, or drownings.

Catastrophic Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney Role

This Insurance Defense Attorney role is a fast-paced desk working with a team of Insurance Defense litigation lawyers.

Primary responsibility to provide legal counsel and defense strategies to matters.

Conduct thorough investigations into each case

Candidate will need to be able to analyze facts, assess liability and develop defense strategy

Draft and revise pleadings, correspondence, and discovery

Prepare correspondence and affidavits

Communicate with clients, vendors, experts, and opposing counsel

Document management including reviewing, indexing, analyzing, and producing documents

Prepare trial notebooks

Conduct legal research

Summarize medical records and depositions

Prepare attorneys for depositions, mediations, hearings and trials

Provide support at trial, hearings, depositions, mediations and arbitrations

Docket, manage and E-file in federal and state courts

Knowledge of document review programs for case preparation

Represent clients in negotiations, mediations and courtroom proceedings

Candidate must have great understanding of insurance law, personal injury statutes

Catastrophic Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney Background

Minimum 3-5 years of Insurance Defense litigation experience required

Mandatory state Bar in good standing

Prior experience prepping for trial from intake to courthouse

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills

Firm needs a friendly but hard-working candidate

Candidate must possess the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

Candidate must be punctual and enjoy working in a team environment

Candidate must have superior organizational skills
